Officers investigated a complaint which originated off campus. A male student/resident encountered two non-affiliate female subjects off campus and allegedly stole a hat from one of the subjects. They chased him to the dorm from where the police were notified. The complainants refused to press charges or provide personal information for report.

UNOPD was notified anonymously of a noise complaint from Lafitte Village. The dispatched officers upon arrival discovered the noise eminated from the second floor of Building-B. The officers investigated and discovered a couple having a very loud debate over their attendance at a picnic the day before. The couple was advised to reduce the volume of their conversation. The officers departed without further incident.

Computer was learned to be missing on April 8, 2013 at 1:15PM from room 342 of the Performing Art Center. A recording of the activity of this room showed the computer was probably taken by an unknown subject on Sunday 4-7-2013 at 3:02PM. No witnesses were located as of the date of this report.

An initial report of threats reported to police evolved into an investigation involving a student in need of medical attention. Further investigation led officers to serve a search warrant, the result of which was confiscation of a small amount of marijuana and paraphernalia. A municipal want was issued for the person of interest. Investigation also documented under NOPD item number C-28059-13.
The wanted subject was issued a summons and the municipal want rescinded on 02-27-2013. See supplemental report under the item number 03-040-13.

On Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at approximately 10:30am, 2 African-American males, one 17yrs old and the other 19yrs old, were arrested on campus after they were observed entering an unlocked vehicle parked in the North Main Parking Lot and removing property. A witness reported the incident and UNO police officers were able to apprehend both suspects, who were found in possession of the victim's property. The suspects were placed under arrest and booked at Central Lock-up for auto burglary and possession of stolen property.

Victim stated her backpack was taken from her unlocked vehicle sometime between when she parked it on 3-19-13 at 11am and when she found it missing on 3-19-2013 at 11:55am. However, the back pack was later located with no property missing near the Cove on campus. There was the possibility that the victim had forgotten the backpack at the Cove.
