The University of New Orleans Alumni were found to have the highest average early-career salaries among graduates of all four-year public and private colleges in Louisiana, according to a new report from  In the 2016-2017 College Salary Report, bachelor's degree earners from UNO with 0-5 years of work experience reported median annual earnings of $47,7000.

Overall starting and mid-career salaries for degrees that we provide or are similar to those we provide in PLUS are below.

A Master's Degree in Urban & Regional Planning showed early career pay of $50,600 and mid-career pay of $86,700.

A Bachelor's Degree in Transportation & Logistics showed early career pay of $47,800 and mid-career pay of $78,900.  While there is not a Bachelor's degree in Transportation at UNO we do have a Master's Degree in Transportation and the early career pay and mid-career pay are expected to be higher than the Bachelor's degree.

Dr. Anna Brand has been awarded an Emerging Scholar Fellowship in Race and Gender in the Built Environment of the American City from the School of Architecture at the University of Texas at Austin.  During this nine-month fellowship, Dr. Brand will continue her research on black meccas in the 21st century, bringing a new focus to her work by incorporating Houston's 3rd and 4th Wards and Washington D.C.'s Shaw neighborhood into her comparative research in the American North and South.  Additionally, she will expand her research on New Orlean's Treme and 7th War neighborhoods through a new focus on gender and the built environment.  Through this lens, Dr. Brand will examine the historically gendered construction of property ownership and the gendered and racialized construction and redevelopment of New Orlean's historic red light district.
